Forex trading from Indonesia: lot sizes, rupiah costs, and what TNFX is
The most repeated Indonesian forex question is "1 lot forex itu berapa?" — how much is one lot. It has an exact answer, and getting it wrong is the usual way a first account is lost. One lot, in numbers
A standard lot is 100,000 units of the base currency. One lot of EUR/USD at 1.1337 is therefore €100,000 worth $113,370 of exposure; at 1:100 leverage the margin set aside is $1,134, at 1:500 it is $227. A mini lot (0.1) and a micro lot (0.01) scale those down ten and a hundred times, so a micro lot of EUR/USD at 1:500 needs about $2.30 of margin. Gold is quoted per troy ounce and one lot is 100 ounces: at $4,100 an ounce that is $410,000 of exposure, and at 1:1000 — our ceiling on gold — the margin is $410.

Who licenses brokers in Indonesia — and that TNFX is not one of them
Indonesian futures and forex brokers are licensed by Bappebti and trade through the Jakarta and Indonesia futures exchanges; supervision of crypto assets and some derivatives moved to OJK in 2025. TNFX holds no Bappebti or OJK licence and is not a member of either exchange. What it holds is one licence: Securities Dealer licence SD133 from the Financial Services Authority of Seychelles, issued to the company founded in 2019 with its registered office at CT House, Office 9A, Providence, Mahé. You can check it on the FSA's own register. It holds no other financial licence anywhere. Indonesian investor-protection rules do not reach a foreign account, and a dispute is handled under our terms and the Seychelles regulator.
Halal: the mechanics behind the ruling
The Indonesian Ulema Council's fatwa on currency trading (DSN-MUI No. 28/2002) permits spot exchange and prohibits speculative forward, swap and option contracts. A swap-free account at TNFX, available on request on any account type at no charge, removes the overnight interest component; it does not change the fact that a CFD is settled in cash rather than delivered. Deposits and withdrawals from Indonesia
There is no Indonesian bank transfer, virtual account, QRIS, OVO, GoPay or DANA route at TNFX. Six routes work from outside Iraq and Syria, none of them local: a Visa or Mastercard (from $10), USDT on TRC-20 (from $10), the Ovadot wallet (from $5), Payeer and Ptop (from $10), and an international bank wire (from $100, one to three business days). Withdrawals use the same routes with a $50 minimum; USDT and wallet payouts are usually processed within hours, wires in one to three days.
Indonesian clients mostly buy USDT on a local exchange and send it on TRC-20; cards issued in Indonesia work for some clients and are declined for others depending on the issuing bank.
