Forex trading from Brazil: the real costs in reais, the CVM rules, and what TNFX is
Brazilians ask two things before anything else: how much it really costs to start, and whether trading forex through a foreign broker is permitted or prohibited. This page prices a first account in reais, sets out what the CVM authorises and what the tax law says, and lists the routes that actually move money — PIX is not one of them. The Portuguese version answers the same questions in Portuguese.

What it really costs to start, in reais
At about R$ 5.22 to the dollar, the $100 minimum first deposit on a Standard, Cent or Turbo account is roughly R$ 520; the Zero account's $500 is about R$ 2,600. The margin for one standard lot of EUR/USD ($113,370 of exposure) is $1,134 at 1:100 and $227 at 1:500 — about R$ 5,900 and R$ 1,185. A micro lot at 1:500 needs about $2.30, so a R$ 520 account can trade small positions properly; card and wallet deposits from $5–10 are accepted but are for learning the platform.
| Account | First deposit | Max leverage | In reais (≈ R$ 5.22/$) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $100 | 1:500 | ≈ R$ 520 |
| Cent | $100 | 1:500 | ≈ R$ 520 |
| Turbo | $100 | up to 1:3000, dynamic | ≈ R$ 520 |
| Zero | $500 | 1:500 | ≈ R$ 2,600 |
| VIP | $100,000 | 1:100 | ≈ R$ 522,000 |
Permitted or prohibited? What the CVM actually says
The CVM does not authorise foreign forex or CFD brokers to offer their services in Brazil, and it has issued stop orders against brokers that solicited Brazilian residents without authorisation. TNFX is not CVM-authorised and does not claim to be. At the same time, Brazilian law does not forbid a resident from holding an account abroad: the obligations are to declare it (the annual income-tax return and, above the thresholds, the Central Bank's capital-abroad statement) and to pay tax on the income.
Since Law 14.754/2023 took effect in 2024, income from financial investments held abroad by individuals is taxed at 15% on the annual return, declared in the yearly return rather than monthly. Keep statements; your accountant will need them. None of this is advice — it is the frame you should check before you fund.
Deposits and withdrawals from Brazil
There is no PIX, boleto or Brazilian bank-transfer route at TNFX. Six routes work from outside Iraq and Syria, none of them local: a Visa or Mastercard (from $10), USDT on TRC-20 (from $10), the Ovadot wallet (from $5), Payeer and Ptop (from $10), and an international bank wire (from $100, one to three business days). Withdrawals use the same routes with a $50 minimum; USDT and wallet payouts are usually processed within hours, wires in one to three days.
In practice Brazilian clients buy USDT on a local exchange and send it on TRC-20, or use an international card; a wire from a Brazilian bank is possible but carries the bank's IOF and exchange costs.

One licence, and what it does not cover
TNFX Ltd holds one financial licence: Securities Dealer licence SD133 from the Financial Services Authority of Seychelles, issued to the company founded in 2019 with its registered office at CT House, Office 9A, Providence, Mahé. You can check it on the FSA's own register. It holds no other financial licence anywhere. There is no Brazilian authorisation behind it and no Brazilian investor protection around it.
