Profit calculator
Test a trade before you take it — entry, exit and lot size in, profit or loss out. The profit calculator turns a trade idea into dollars: give it your direction, entry and exit prices and lot size, and it shows the resulting profit or loss and the pips covered.
Account currency: USD · standard MetaTrader contract sizes. Estimates for guidance only — actual values depend on the instrument specification and your account type in MT4/MT5.
How it works
- Buy: profit = (exit − entry) × contract size × lots. Sell: the sign flips.
- For USD-quoted instruments the result is already in dollars; for pairs like USDJPY it is converted at the exit price.
- The pip count is the price distance divided by the instrument's pip size.
Frequently asked questions
How is forex profit calculated?
Profit = price change × contract size × lots. A buy profits when price rises; a sell profits when it falls. Quote-currency results are converted to USD.
Does the calculator include spread and commission?
No — it computes the raw price-move result. On a Zero account add the $5 per-lot commission; on Standard/Cent/VIP accounts the spread is already the cost.
Are TNFX accounts swap-free?
Yes. All TNFX account types are swap-free, so no overnight interest is added to or subtracted from your trade result.
