Forex trading in Najaf

In Najaf the first question is rarely about spreads. It is whether the account is genuinely free of interest — and whether it stays that way after the first week.

What swap-free actually has to mean

A swap-free account removes the financing charge applied to positions held overnight. That charge is interest, which is why the account exists, and removing it is the whole point rather than a promotional extra.

The question worth asking any broker is what happens on day eight. Some grant Islamic status and then introduce an 'administration fee' after a few days that is a swap wearing a different name. If a charge accrues daily against a held position and grows with time, the label on it does not change what it is.

On our accounts, Islamic status removes the overnight financing charge and does not replace it with a time-based fee. It applies to gold, currencies and oil alike. It is granted for religious observance, personal to the account holder, and it is not a trading strategy — an account held swap-free purely to carry positions indefinitely at no financing cost is a different thing, and is treated as such.

Getting money in and out of Najaf

Funding from Najaf works the way it does across Iraq, and none of it involves an international transfer.

Ovadot, Ptop, USDT on TRC-20, local bank transfer, FastPay and Payeer all work in both directions — money in, and money back out again. The minimum withdrawal is $50 on every one of them.

Zain Cash is a deposit route only. It pays in quickly and cannot pay out, so if you fund through it, your withdrawal is paid through one of the two-way routes above, in your own name. Q-Card pays out too for clients who deposited by Q-Card, usually within 10–15 minutes. Direct card funding and international bank wire are not available in Iraq at all.

Verification is done once, and the sensible time is the day you open the account rather than the day you want your money. Payouts are always made to the account holder — never to a third party, which is what stops anyone who gets into your account from redirecting the funds.

What Najaf clients trade

Gold, overwhelmingly — the pattern across Iraq, and Najaf sits close to the national average. US indices and the major currency pairs follow, with oil taking a steady minority share.

Because gold dominates, the sizing warning matters here as much as anywhere: a standard lot of XAUUSD is 100 ounces, so a $10 move in the gold price is $1,000 on one lot, and gold routinely travels $20 to $40 in a day. A Cent account trades the same market at a hundredth of that size, which is the sensible way to learn.

Starting small, properly

The most common way a first account ends is not a bad forecast. It is a correct forecast held at the wrong size, closed out before it had room to be right.

The arithmetic is worth doing once, in advance. On EURUSD, the smallest position most people can open — 0.01 lots — is about ten cents a pip; a hundred-pip move is roughly $10. On gold the same 0.01 lots is about $1 for every dollar gold moves, and gold routinely travels twenty or thirty dollars in a day. Same position size, a very different amount of risk.

That single comparison explains most blown first accounts here, because gold is what almost everyone starts with. On a $100 balance, one 0.01-lot gold position moving thirty dollars against you is roughly a third of the account — and people rarely open just one.

If you are starting small, start on a Cent account, where positions are sized in hundredths and the arithmetic is forgiving enough to survive the learning.

Common questions

Is the swap-free account really free of interest?

Yes. Islamic status removes the overnight financing charge and is not replaced by a time-based administration fee. It applies to gold, currencies and oil.

How do I open a swap-free account?

Open an account normally and request Islamic status. It is granted at our discretion for religious observance and is personal to you.

How do I deposit from Najaf?

Ovadot, Ptop, USDT, local bank transfer, FastPay and Payeer all work in both directions. Zain Cash is deposit-only — fast going in, but your payout comes back through a two-way route. Q-Card works both ways for clients who deposited by Q-Card, with withdrawals processed in 10–15 minutes. Cards and international wire are not available in Iraq.

Is forex trading permitted in Iraq?

Nothing prohibits individuals from trading, and Iraq does not license brokers — which is why the broker's foreign licence matters. Ours is FSA Seychelles SD133.
